For the Armani Privé spring 2014 couture collection, Giorgio Armani has thought about globetrotters and their needs. He even named the new line “Nomade” to further highlight the concept that served as a base for the new looks. The creative vision for the new line was as cosmopolitan as the concept, given the fact that it features style elements from different cultures.
The designer explained that he used a melange of influences as he found beauty in a lot of different elements. Speaking about his vision for the Armani woman this season, the legendary designer told WWD.com that: "This is a woman who moves around the world and picks ideas from the beautiful things she sees, what moves her emotionally: the color of a skirt, jewelry that can be ethnic or not." As always, the Armani Privé spring 2014 couture collection brought a high dose of menswear influences and several metallic accents, which, in the couturier's skilled hands, were transformed into attention grabbing pieces that are sure to impress. The show debuted with an interesting set of gorgeous plissé skirts, fabulous jacquard blazers and luxurious silk tops.

The designer favored a relaxed silhouette for the most part, but brought exquisitely tailored pieces to create a stunning contrast. The color palette of the Armani Privé spring 2014 collection, which revolved mostly around navy and grey tones, might have been perceived as a little somber, however, the intricate embellishments and the occasional colorful motifs the designer used, changed the tone of the new offerings. Even without specific influences to cling to, the brand's new creations seem to have borrowed quite a lot of elements from the North African culture.
