The Miley Cyrus for Marc Jacobs spring/summer 2014 campaign was one of the first surprises 2014 had to offer, though in retrospect, given the fact that the “Wrecking Ball” singer was routinely spotted wearing Marc Jacobs, did mean it was bound to happen at one point or another, so the time when it would eventually happen was the only unknown variable. Still, regardless of whether the news was unexpected or not, it's definitely interesting to see the star in a different posture than we usually do, especially after the routinely racy shots that made everyone talk about her last year.
The high profile designer gave everyone some insights as to what made him choose her as the face of the brand, besides the obvious lucrative potential, as he stated that: “We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There’s nothing I don’t like about her. She is just genuine and very natural."
Still, it appeared that not everyone was quite on board with that statement as the new campaign wasn't photographed by Juergen Teller, the fashion house's long time collaborator. The explanation for was very simple: “He just didn’t want to shoot her,” the designer revealed, so the label went for David Sims instead.
