Topshop and Adidas Originals have teamed up for a 20-piece capsule collection that will hit the stores later this month. The timing for the highly anticipated line couldn't have been chosen better as the popularity of sportswear is skyrocketing this season and new stylish options with a sporty twist are constantly being added in stores. The two retailers have already revealed all the items from the new line to give fashionistas an idea as to what they can expect.
According Topshop creative director and contributing fashion editor Kate Phelan, the new options were designed to work well with other fashionable staples while still having the performance characteristics women look for in activewear: “We wanted to bring some femininity to the range and make the collection fit with all your fashion staples; whether you want to wear as a fashion garment or a performance garment the beauty is in how you combine it together. We're in a sportswear revolution at the moment. Fashion is really driven by what's happening in the sportswear world, it's at the top of the radar in the fashion stakes - so to have Adidas Originals as a starting point was fantastic.”
The new options from the 2014 Adidas Originals x Topshop collection feature the slouchy shapes the retailer is known for, with colorful prints inspired by London streets and landscapes. The vast majority of the new Adidas Originals for Topshop designs are distinctive and quite bold and perfect for making a statement. Nonethless, even fashionistas who aren't fans of overly flashy pieces will likely find a few styles that can prove a good pick.
