The Lanvin spring 2014 campaign might be the most perplexing campaign of the season. Most of the times, labels are all too happy to share the concept that defined a particular campaign, but Lanvin choose the exact opposite approach, opting for total ambiguity instead. “A zoom in a room that lacks time, place, context or meaning. Very black and white but in total colour,” reads the description for the new campaign lensed by Steven Meisel under the creative direction of House and Holme, Ronnie Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme.

The Lanvin spring 2014 ad campaign is based on one main question: what are the models talking about? The photos don't give too many clues as to what the subject might be, leaving fashionistas to create their own versions of the story and the reasons why the glamorous models are sitting together around a table dressed in shiny metallic dresses with equally eye-catching accessories and with nothing but water glasses in front of them. The new ads bring into the spotlight some of the most memorable pieces from the new Lanvin spring 2014 collection and the star accessory of the new line: the Lanvin lamé paper bag which comes in many interesting tones.

According to Lanvin, the lamé paper bag available in four sizes “is designed in papyrus leather, thin as paper” and features a bold metallic chain that heightens its edgy allure. The label spares no effort when it comes to accessories that make a statement. Massive bracelets, chunky necklaces or bold metallic shoes all manage to make the new looks impossible to ignore.
