The Madewell spring/summer 2014 lookbook is here and it's rife with cool styling tips for the upcoming season. As exciting as experimenting with layers and cool wintery tones might be, it's quite natural to look forward to the sandal season, especially since there are many chic options worth trying once temperatures start rising. The good thing though is that before that happens we have plenty of time to educate our eyes and gather new ideas that can inspire us to go outside our comfort zone.
The new Madewell spring 2014 lookbook is based on the effortlessly cool aesthetics we've come to know and love, with an interesting twist, courtesy of the label's new designer, Somsack Sikhounmuong, who took the reigns last February. Everyone's favorite wardrobe staple, denim, is present in all kind of forms in the new lookbook. Dark washed denim, acid wash denim, distressed jeans, overalls, chambray shirts...there's no shortage of tempting items for fashionistas looking to expand their wardrobe with versatile new additions.
Most of the new options spotted in the lookbook have a cool tomboy flair as well as several French influences. The art of dressing nonchalantly without ever crossing the line to sloppiness has alluded women for some time now and the new Madewell spring 2014 lookbook brings many interesting ideas on how it can be done. Sportswear influences are also a significant part of the new lookbook. Those who are ready to get on board with the sportswear trend in the upcoming season will find several cool items ranging from cool varsity jackets and slouchy pants to cool accessories like baseball caps, which have become somewhat of an 'it' accessory lately.
