The Burberry spring 2014 campaign lensed by famed photographer Mario Testino under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey features many young British talents. The designer turned CEO enlisted Jamie Campbell Bower, Childhood lead singer and guitarist Leo Dobson, Malaika Firth, Jean Campbell, the daughter of former Vogue UK editor, Isabella Cawdor and her husband Colin, the Earl of Cawdor, Matilda Lowther, Neelam Johal and Callum Ball for the new campaign, several of whom have collaborated with the label in the past season.
The Burberry spring 2014 collection is titled 'English Rose', so the new campaign is meant to have “a gentle, effortless, romantic quality” attached to it, according to the designer which is “brought to life by a cast of bright young British talent". Indeed, the fab youthful vibe given by the cast members made it quite clear that the options are meant to appeal to women of all ages, not just to nostalgics and incurable romantics. Even the classic heritage trench coats and accessories have an unexpected youthful allure in the new Burberry spring/summer 2014 campaign. The luxury label's choices when it comes to advertising is not new.
We've seen the focus on bringing talented young musicians into the spotlight in the Eyewear Spark campaign unveiled a while back. After the rather intimate fall 2013 campaign featuring Sienna Miller and her husband Tom Sturridge, the new ads are definitely a refreshing change. The label won't wait too much to launch the new Burberry spring/summer 2014 ads. In fact, the new ads will be unveiled globally right from the first days of the new year.
