The Michael Kors pre-fall 2014 collection features a multitude of practical options with a modern vibe. The designer made one important distinction for the new line, stating that he banished the term 'pre-fall' and replaced it with 'trans-season' to better illustrate the role of the new offerings. What hasn't changed about the luxury label's offerings is the ability to bring modern, practical and versatile offerings.
Michael Kors' pre-fall 2014 collection seems to continue on the 'borrowed from the boys' idea, which we saw in the past seasons, however, there also also plenty of feminine accents for an interesting contrast. The label opted for a versatile color palette, featuring a few accent colors which serve as the main focal point. It seems like the oversized coat, a key trend for fall/winter 2013 season, will still maintain its popularity in the upcoming season.
The label used the piece on numerous occasions to add an edginess to the new looks. Though the new line shows a clear preference for monochrome pieces that can be easily mixed and matched, the label also brought a handful of printed items featuring abstract motifs or geometric patterns for an interesting effect. Subtle sporty vibes can also be noticed on numerous occasions, a thing that makes the new options feel modern and trendy.
