The Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2014 collection brought a multitude of interesting options for various occasions into the spotlight. The experienced designer has thought about the challenge of making options which work well for various seasons in the new line and, with this concern in mind, he turned to various sources of inspiration in an effort to accommodate to many different needs. He found inspiration in the world of art and in the Japanese culture and created no less than 40 thought provoking ensembles.
A surprisingly large number of looks from the newest Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2014 collection focus on fulfilling practical needs. There are many interesting reinterpreted biker jackets with a modern edgy flair and stunning coats which carry the label's unmistakable feminine allure. The label opted for a myriad of silhouettes and style perspectives, however, the goal was always the same: to make women look great. Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects about the new line is the diversity of motifs used.

The label brings a variety of geometric patterns and prints, floral motifs and even tropical inspired options like parrots and leafs, all of which give the new collection an eclectic allure. The label also didn't shy away from playing with proportions in order to get an even more interesting effect. A memorable example is an all green ensemble comprised of palazzo pants and a sleeveless trench. Asymmetry was another element the label used in order to add a modern vibe to retro inspired looks.
