The Temperley London pre-fall 2014 collection brings romantic pieces with a modern edge into the spotlight. If for the spring 2014 collection the label looked at the '60s and '70s influences as inspiration and brought a multitude of ultra feminine pieces, this time the vision on femininity has changed a bit. There are, however, plenty of things that haven't changed. We're still seeing elegant silhouettes with an elegant flair and exquisite tailoring, however, the label now puts a much stronger emphasis on patterns.
The label brings sophisticated floral motifs for an extravagant touch to the new looks. However, for the most part, the label sticks with abstract, geometric details for a trendy allure. The complexity of these gorgeous motifs proves once again that refinement is one of the main strengths of the fashion house. Many of the intricate patterns displayed seem inspired by stained glass windows. Shape-wise, it seems like form fitting options are preferred, especially when it comes to cocktail dresses.
The floor-length dresses are a bit more loose-fitted, but they still carry the same elegant allure. For an even more luxurious vibe, some of the dresses are cleverly accessorized with a fur cape. The Temperley London pre-fall 2014 line isn't comprised solely from dresses. Several interesting elegant jumpsuits are also included, being an interesting alternative to ultra feminine elegant dresses. There are also a couple of interesting edgy accents that were brought into the spotlight. A quilted biker jacket and a pair of leather pants add a touch of edginess to an otherwise classic line.
