Atelier Versace couture fall 2013 lineup kicked off the 2013 Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Donatella Versace always manages to bring the coolest ensembles, so no wonder the show brought together several celebs. Mena Suvari, Emma Roberts, Afef Jnifen and Franca Sozzani or Uma Thurman were just some of the attendees that anxiously awaited the presentation of the new line. But, the runway was not without surprises. The most important surprise was seeing Naomi Campbell on the runway alongside younger models Karlie Kloss and Anna Selezneva among many others.
Atelier Versace's fall 2013 couture collection was defined by sexiness. While that's hardly a surprise when we're talking about the label, the concept behind the label's new line is certainly an interesting one: “The perfection, glamour and elegance of the black-and-white era of photographs and movies, with its light and shadow. The allure of undressing or being undressed.” Though relatively confusing, these ideas certainly help explain the multitude of bold cutouts and spectacular cropped pieces that heated up the runway.
Though this time the designer left the punk vibes spotted in the Versace fall 2013 collection, the new offerings will definitely attract the edgy style lovers' attention. Spikes were replaced by luxurious exotic skins and spectacular body hugging dresses took the place of ultra tight pants. From subtle textural and chromatic contrasts to intricate embellishments, the designer spared no effort and made sure that each of her new designs would capture everyone's attention at any given moment of the show. That mission was definitely accomplished!
The Atelier Versace couture fall 2013 collection brought a myriad of covetable coats, edgy suits, many ultra revealing dresses and a variety of exciting evening-wear offerings. Aside from gorgeous strapless floor-length dresses, the new line brought sparkly jumpsuits with plenty of sheer details or bold long skirt and cropped top combos that definitely push the boundaries of sexiness. The well chosen color palette which revolved around deep blue, green, burgundy instantly added a sophisticated vibe to the edgy Atelier Versace fall 2013 couture lineup.
