MFW Spring 2014: Dolce & Gabbana - Sicily Meets Ancient Greece
Designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce don't need to look to far for creative insights: the beauty of Sicily proves a vast source of inspiration season after season. For spring 2014, the two focused on the region's glorious past: “It’s a dream of Sicily. The duo's unique vision was materialized though Ancient Greece temple motifs, coin patterns, polka dots, chic spring blossoms textural accents and eclectic prints. Ultra feminine lace and silk dresses, high waist skirts, fur trimmed car coats, statement “coin” belts, bold earrings, rhinestone-studded sandals and chic handbags were among the most attention-grabbing creations from the new line.
