The Rupert Sanderson fall/winter 2013 campaign puts the spotlight exactly on essentials: sexy shoes that are bound to become instant celebrity favorites. Unlike other luxury footwear labels which focus on fads, the label opts for fabulous modern shoes with a classy allure that make a powerful statement every time. Shot by photographer Eddie Wrey on location at the Japanese restaurant Sake No Hana in Mayfair, London, the new Rupert Sanderson campaign brings six of the coolest new footwear alternatives created by the British luxury label.
For its newest collection, the label took inspiration from Eastern culture. Speaking about the new fall 2013 campaign, the designer stated that: “This season’s campaign really gives a razor sharpness and to a collection inspired by a modern and dark Japan. I was thinking Kill Bill and elaborate Japanese bondage techniques.” With such a complex source of inspiration, it comes as no surprise that the new styles feel so eclectic and intriguing.
The designer doesn't strive for conformity so the campaign styled by Tamara Rothstein doesn't feature many practical subdued options with a functional role. Instead, the new choices seem destined for the red carpet, due to their statement making potential.
