Juliane Hough has a great body and keeps herself in shape with more than just dancing. The 24 year old beauty born in Utah says she allows herself to splurge, but most of the time she sticks to healthy eating. Find out a few of Julianne Hough's diet secrets and discover her workout tips.
Julianne Hough's weight loss has been easy to spot in the months after she broke up with Ryan Seacrest. The blonde beauty was saying she loves her curves, but she seems to be going back to a lean dancer's body. Julianne Hough's weight gain of over 20 pounds during her relationship with Seacrest seems to be a thing of the past now, but the two-time professional champion of ABC's Dancing with the Stars doesn't attribute that to a restrictive diet.
The blonde dancer got to show off her lean body in the 2011 remake of Footlose, before gaining the weight she's losing now and she shared some of her tips.
Julianne Hough Diet Secrets
Keeping her diet balanced is the most important one of Julianne Hough's diet tips. However, oils and salt seem to be on the black list.
"Breakfast is a yogurt or a smoothie, some fruit maybe. I usually eat bigger at lunch. Almost every day for lunch, I crave a maple-baked salmon salad with grapes, walnuts and that's my lunch staple, apple slices too. For dinner, I may have some type of grilled fish and steamed veggies, brown rice, I tend to eat really healthy," Julianne said.
Fighting cravings the right way is a big part of the Julianne Hough diet and the dancer says it's usually almonds and vegetables for a quick snack.
"If I'm hungry or thirsty I don't always know which - I just know I'm craving something. So I do an iced herbal tea. And almonds, always. I cut up vegetables and put apple cider vinegar on them, with salt and pepper. Or snack on some hummus," Hough explained to WebMD.com.
Julianne Hough Diet and Exercise
Eating the right amount of protein before working out is important, so a big part of Julianne Hought's diet for Footloose consisted of a special breakfast: scrambled egg whites with spinach and tomatoes.
Besides being a dancer, actress and even country singer with two albums under her belt, Julianne Hough also released two cardio-fitness DVDs, Cardio Ballroom and Dance Body Tone.
Julianne Hough's weight loss can be attributed to her special work out routine that focuses on areas not toned by dancing. The blonde says she does crunches, lunges, and arm moves every day, along with cardio on the treadmill or stationary bike, and light weightlifting. Running 30-45 minutes is the way Julianne Hough keeps active during days when she's not going to the gym.
