The Vera Wang spring 2015 bridal collection wasn't presented in the typical way. Rather than opting for a traditional runway show, the designer used a short film to highlight her vision for the new line. Despite the fairly dark yet oddly captivating theme that proved unusual for a wedding line and a far cry from the fall 2014 bridal line that brought a variety of pink gowns with textural rose details, the new Vera Wang wedding dresses for spring 2015 were inspired by the "lightness of being: delicate and disciplined. sensual and seductive".
All of these characteristics were beautifully reflected in the design of the new gowns. The designer worked with delicate tulle, Chantilly lace, silk chiffon and organza to bring a romantic ethereal allure to each of the new 2015 Vera Wang wedding dresses.
Silhouette-wise, the designer focused on column dresses with minimal detailing, intricate princess and mermaid style gowns. A sense of edginess is also easily perceivable in the new Vera Wang bridal collection which includes several styles that would seriously test a bride's comfort zone.
