Think you know everything there is to know about Lindsay Lohan's rehab troubles? Oprah disagrees. She'll be broadcasting a Lindsay Lohan docu-series on her OWN cable network. The eight episode docu-series will follow the star's trials and tribulations and her attempts to rebuild her career and gain back her health. After being in and out of rehab for several years now, she's currently serving a 90-day court stint in a rehabilitation facility, which will end this month, on July 31.
An OWN network spokesperson confirmed the news: “OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014”. The 27 year old star is constantly making the headlines for her dubious lifestyle choices, but she's turned down several reality show offers, including the one to be on her family’s E! reality show “Living Lohan”, preferring to stick to acting jobs for the most part.
Oprah will be hosting the deeply troubled star's first post-rehab interview. The most likely reason the star accepted the offer was that this time the focus won't fall on the scandals that sold so many tabloids over the years, but her many struggles with staying sober and the emotional turmoil. The series is said to be an inspirational one as she'll be sharing her goals and trials to make her life better and end the destructive cycle she's been in for such a long part of her life.
The OWN network definitely manages to land many high profile interviews that seem to shed light on some of the struggles influential celebs face in their personal lives. Just around this time last year, Oprah Winfrey chatted with Rihanna in her home town, Barbados. During that intense interview, the star admitted she still loves Chris Brown and that she's forgiven him. We definitely wonder what gems will the new Oprah Winfrey Lindsay Lohan post-rehab interview reveal. Will you be watching the series when it airs next year?
