The London Fashion Week Fall 2014 edition has brought a variety of interesting options so far, especially for those who love the effect prints can have on an outfit. Many labels have decided to base their new line on maximalist ensembles that instantly steal the spotlight and brought several thought provoking ensembles worth taking into account. If for some, whimsical prints and liberal use of contrasting texture are part of the brand's identity, for other designers eye-catching prints were an unexpected but very pleasant surprise. These feminine yet whimsical collections can definitely prove a rich source of inspiration for those who love head-turning looks:
LFW Fall 2014: Mary Katrantzou Fall 2014 RTW Collection
Prints are part of the Mary Katrantzou's label aesthetic DNA, so it's no wonder some of the best printed pieces spotted at the London Fashion Week so far, were part of the Mary Katrantzou fall 2014 collection. Though the designer is mostly known for her attention grabbing digital prints, this time she decided to take her affinity for lovely prints in a new direction, taking inspiration from uniforms and badges. She went for feminine yet sporty silhouettes, bringing a multitude of sunning long sleeved short and floor length dresses, metallic elements, and several asymmetric touches.
